Waiting on Wednesday: Dead Rules by Randy Russell

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" is:

Dead Rules by Randy Russell
Release Date: June 21, 2011
Publisher: HarperTeen
Age Group: Young Adult

Sometimes falling in love means you've got to kill somebody.

Jana Webster and Michael Haynes were destined to be together forever. Of that, Jana was sure.

But Jana just died—in a bowling accident. And now she’s trapped in Dead School. Jana is certain that it won’t be long before Michael kills himself in order to spend eternity with her—but the days are passing and Michael is, inexplicably, still alive. So Jana decides to take matters into her own hands. And nothing—not even Dead School bad boy Mars Dreamcote’s enticingly warm touch or the devastating secret he holds about her death—will stop her from making her dreams come true.

I’m in a dark mood today so I thought I need to pick a book with a darker tone (no more fluffy picks for me) for my WOW pick and here it is! I absolutely love the sound of this book, very creepy plus it’s set in a school for the dead how awesome is that? Also the name Mars Dreamcote, genius, I’ll be chuckling about it the rest of the week. The cover also has it going on, so pretty.

Feel free to check out Randy’s website HERE also The Elevensies have an interview with Randy, so if your interested click HERE.

Ooohh I almost forgot here are some book trailers I found for Dead Rules:

Some of this stuff just seems so way out there; they're pushing the constraints of all believability. This sounds dark...and rather depressing, but it is different! Never heard of it before. The girl looks like a doll face--dead eyes. Thanks for the recommend.
Haha she died in a bowling accident? lol How does that even happen? I'm still giggling about it! I guess I'll have to read the book to find out. This sounds pretty good! I want to know what it's like to be in a school for the dead!

Check out my WoW :D

Dead Rules sounds pretty dark, but it has the possibility to be funny too... Something about the bowling, makes me think so. Very Interesting choice!
Dead Rules sounds fantastic! I've GOT to get my hands on it, too. Thanks for the post!
