Kimberly Derting’s ‘The Pledge’ Cover Revealed!
As some of you may know my love of Kimberly Derting knows no bounds, I adore her Body Finder novels, the woman is a genius and now she is releasing a new novel titled The Pledge, I hear you asking what in the heck is this pledge novel about? Well here’s the little snip bit (or taster as I like to call it) we’ve been given, thanks to goodreads:
“A romantic fantasy novel set in a dystopic, war-torn world, in which a teenage girl realizes that she may be the key to saving her country”
Okay so two things in this sentence have piqued my interest
1. Dystopic, I have an unhealthy obsession for dystopian novels ever since Suzanne Collins and her Hunger Games trilogy, oh Suzanne you have introduced me into a whole new crazy world and
2. Romantic fantasy, zing did someone mention romance, I have a soft spot for romance, on the outside I may be cold but inside me beats my very warm and fuzzy heart which loves a good romance
Now for the cover ……
Pretty amazing no? It’s so stunning with the very pale model contrasted with the black background and black cape (I think it's a cape, not sure though), it certainly draws you in. Oh how I adore thee book cover! As Kimberly so eloquently put it “I have hearts floating out of my eyes…”
The Pledge releases the 15th November 2011 and is published by Simon & Schuster

Last Sacrifice Cover Revealed …. and it’s pretty fugly
I know I’m a bit behind the eight ball but Entertainment Weekly’s Shelf Life recently released the cover for Richelle Mead’s new vampire academy spin off series Bloodlines and what the heck?!? The publishers have managed, once again I might add (Last Sacrifice cover anyone), create a fugly cover, why oh why are they doing this to me. I don’t like the font style and I don’t really like the model they used for Sydney
Here’s what EW had to say about it …

I thought I better mention (cos I don’t want any crazy nutters sending me scary emails about how I destroyed their life because I gave away a Last Sacrifice spoiler) that this little posty bit down here could possibly give spoilers for Last Sacrifice so I’m telling everyone in particular those who have not read Last Sacrifice and don’t want to be given spolery goodness DO NOT READ ON, there you have all been warned.
So basically the chick on the cover is Sydney, now you remember Sydney don’t you the alchemist with the funky tats or whatever they are on her face and I believe the dude in question is Adrian (oh my poor baby I’m still sad for him from Last Sacrifice, curse you Rose but you did belong with Dimitri you just didn’t handle the whole Adrian situation well). Hhhmmm so Adrian and Sydney, maybe Sydney will heal Adrian
The girl on Bloodlines is Sydney
I guess my enigmatic clue was too enigmatic about the guy. He was a significant character, if that helps. I.e., not Ian.
Last clue. Why am I being secret at all? B/c the answer tips off how Last Sacrifice ends, and I'm protecting those who haven't read it yet.
So, ask yourselves, which guys' fates are a big question at the end of LS? Someone w/a happy ending has no need for more in a new series.
So there you have it, see it does appear to be that hunk-o-spunk Adrian

Cover of Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead Revealed
For those of you who don’t know I’m a bit nutty for the Vampire Academy series, I’m obsessed, anyway I nearly fell off my chair when Richelle not only revealed the cover for the final book in the series, Last Sacrifice, but also said that whilst this is the end of Rose’s story she is writing a spin-off series set in the Vampire Academy world, oh happy days! Here’s the cover and what Richelle had to say:
I think this is a beautiful cover to end Rose's story arc. I explain things on my website, but a lot of people don't seem to know what's going on with the series ending. Last Sacrifice comes out December 7 (in the US , Australia/NZ, Canada , and the UK Vampire Academy
I’m so excited that we still get to emerge ourselves in the Vampire Academy
Last Sacrifice will be released December 7, 2010.

Crescendo Cover Revealed
Here is the just released cover of Becca Fitzpatrick's book Crescendo the sequel to her brilliant fist novel hush,hush and it's great, I love it! I can't wait until Crescendo is released on the 16th of November 2010, it's so far away :(

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy, Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The further Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim bloodline has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?
