For Review:

Wolfborn by Sue Bursztynski (Woolshed Press [Imprint of Random House Australia]/December 1, 2010)

Break the curse or howl forever.

Etienne, son of a lord in the kingdom of Armorique, goes to train as a knight with Geraint of Lucanne. Geraint is brave and kind, a good teacher and master - but he has a secret that he has kept from his family. He is bisclavret, a born werewolf. When Geraint is betrayed, Etienne must ally with the local wise-woman and her daughter, themselves bisclavret, to save his lord. But time is running out. If Geraint's enemies have their way, Geraint will soon be trapped in his wolf form.

And Etienne has his own secret. The decisions he makes will change his life forever . . .

Inspired by a medieval romance, this engaging novel forces us to question everything we thought we knew about werewolves.

I really love a good werewolf novel (Shiver anyone?) and Wolfborn sounds just great, particularly so because it has a medieval feel to it. Also don’t you just love the sentence forces us to question everything we thought we knew about werewolves ohhh I love it when an author takes on a topic that’s been done before and then does something completely unexpected with it. Really big thanks to Sue who kindly asked me if I wanted to review Wolfborn (of course I said yes!) and Random House Australia for providing me with a copy to review.

Also for anyone that’s interested Sue has a blog (where she blogs about books plus some random musings) called The Great Raven, feel free to drop by and say hi!

Hey Romy! I love myself a good werewolf story too! I'm excited for you. And I'll check out Sue's blog along the way too. :)

As for my recent reads, not too many either, due to exams, but I did read the Mortal Instruments series. Have you? I love it!! You absolutely have to if you haven't yet. It's a must read.

Hoping you're well,
Tina

about books of other things :)
It sounds good! :) I like the cover and it sounds like it's about adventure too.
Hi guys! I hope you will all enjoy it and thanks, Romy, for the promo. I'm a Melbourne writer with a day job (as most Aussie writers have). The book will be out next week (December 1st) and I'm doing a signing on the 12th at Dymock's in Southland if anyone would like to come. Even if you decide my book isn't for you, the shop is run by Chuck McKenzie, a spec fic writer and fan himself, and he'll make sure there's plenty more stuff for you to buy.
Cheers!
Sue

PS Tina, thanks for your great comment on my post. I've published it and replied.

Thats okay Sue. I really want to go to the book signing, I don't live far from Southland, but that's the day I leave for Gippsland to help with some possum research :(

About Me
Romy @ Lost.in.Stories
Greetings fellow blog readers, welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. Now you may be wondering who is lost.in.stories? Well lost.in.stories is also known as Romy, a 23 year old graduate student from Australia who loves to read. I read (maybe devour would be a more appropriate word) largely young adult novels, with a particular love of fantasy and paranormal novels, however I am also a sucker for a good romance.
