Book Blogger Hop #19 & Follow Friday #13

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer @ Crazy for Books whilst Follow Friday is hosted by ParaJunkee’s View. ‘The Hop’ and ‘Follow Friday’ are a great way to find other people who love to blog about books just like me! So if you’re interested in participating why not check out both Crazy for Books and ParaJunkee’s View for more information.

Jennifer also asks us hopper’s to answer a new question each week, so today’s question for the Hop is (*drum roll please*):

Since Thanksgiving is coming up next week, let's use this week's Hop to share what we are most thankful for and what our holiday traditions are!

This is going to sound terrible but I don’t know what Thanksgiving is, I mean I’ve heard of it before but I don’t know anything about it being from Australia (very ignorant of me I know). I don’t suppose any of my American readers could explain it to me.

Now onto the question, hmmmm what am I thankful for, definitely my family I don’t know what I’d do without them. I’m also thankful that I live in a peaceful country and I don’t have to worry about going without the basic things in life that many people don’t have (travelling to Ecuador and Peru last year really brought home that message). As I’m a big reader and get immense joy from reading I’m also thankful that I can actually read and write, believe it or not there are a significant number of people around Australia and the world that cannot which is depressing, everyone should be able to feel the joy that comes from being able to read and write plus studies have shown that education can lift people out of poverty.

ParaJunkee also asks us follower’s to answer a question each week, so today’s question for the Follow is:

How long have you been book blogging??

Around about 7 months, wow that’s gone quick!

Hey Romy! Thanks for commenting! Your comments always bring a smile to my face. And your excellent idea is duly noted. I always find that interesting too, as their ideas are often amazing ones that turn into wonderful books.
Speaking of our favourite topic, what great ones have you read recently?

I haven't read that much in the past two weeks unfortunately, I've been madly studying and writing essays. I just finished Nevermore a couple of days ago, it's really good I highly recommend it. What about you?
Hey another Aussie! I don't really know much about Thanksgiving either other than the bare basics mostly learned from books and tv shows! I do have a lot to be thankful for though, so it was nice to think about that.

I've been book-blogging since late May of this year, so around the same time as you.

Happy weekend! :)
Hey! Old follower just stopping by for FF. I've been blogging for 2 months now and still going strong! Have a great weekend and happy reading!

About Me
Romy @ Lost.in.Stories
Greetings fellow blog readers, welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. Now you may be wondering who is lost.in.stories? Well lost.in.stories is also known as Romy, a 23 year old graduate student from Australia who loves to read. I read (maybe devour would be a more appropriate word) largely young adult novels, with a particular love of fantasy and paranormal novels, however I am also a sucker for a good romance.
