Book Blogger Hop (#5)

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer @ Crazy for Books. ‘The Hop’ is a great way to find other people who love to blog about books just like me! So if you’re interested in participating why not check out Jennifer’s website for more information, simply click here.

So today’s question for the Hop is (*drum roll please*):

Do you listen to music when you read? If so, what are your favorite reading tunes?

If I'm at home reading, generally curled up in bed, I don’t listen to music, I like the silence, but if I’m travelling to uni on the train and tram I always have a book in my hand and my iTouch in my ear. Generally what I listen to depends on what kind of mood I’m in that day or if I’ve got a really great new album I have to listen to. My music tastes are pretty eclectic (classical, pop, rock, alternative, basically anything that tickles my fancy at the time) so I’ll listen to anything whilst reading, at the moment I’m really loving listening to the album Lungs by Florence and the Machine, love it!

Just hopping by on Book Hop. It's my first visit to your blog. I'm also read Insatible by Meg Cabot right now. We will have to compare reviews when you are done!

Hopping by! I don't listen to music either. I only get to read about 15-30 minutes at a time, so there isn't a lot of time to get the music going!

I've got Insatiable sitting on my shelf right now. Can't wait to see how you like it.

Hope you'll hop by!

Hopping by! (though I already follow).
I'm like you, at home I like silence more than music, but in the bus I do listen to music.

Happy Book blog hop

I've hopped on over! I generally don't listen to music but if I did read on the bus I could see myself having to!

I don't take my ipod with me on public transportation. I'm too worried I'll lose it or break it or miss my stop from being distracted by it.

Happy Friday. Come see how I listen to music when I read.

Hi! I've been enjoying Florence and the Machine a lot lately too (though not generally while reading). :) Hope you have a great weekend!

I was saying on another blog that I generally prefer silence really because the silence somehow allows me to engage on a more intimate level with the book and its characters. As much of a music whore that I am, I find that listening to music is quite a distraction. But that's just me :)

Hi ROmy. lately I have been reading a lot of YA - sometimes it is lovely to not have all that sex in a book. Stop by when you can.

Wow, I love your blog template. It's gorgeous and I love the font you used in your header. I haven't heard anything by the band you mentioned but I just might have to.

Happy blog hopping, I'm a new follower and look forward to reading more from your blog. Keep up the good work!

Hi, already following but just stopping by on the hop! Generally I get distracted by music when I'm reading, but if it's a textbook, then I'm all for some music to help me focus on studying.
