Some Girls Are by
Courtney Summers (St. Martin's Griffin/January 5,2010)

Climbing to the top of the social ladder is hard--falling from it is even harder. Regina Afton used to be a member of the Fearsome Fivesome, an all-
girl clique both feared and revered by the students at Hallowell High... until vicious rumors about her and her best friend's boyfriend start going around.

Now Regina's been "frozen out"
and her ex-best friends are out for revenge. If Regina was guilty, it would be one thing, but the rumors are far from the terrifying truth and the bullying is getting more intense by the day. She takes solace in the company
of Michael Hayden, a misfit with a tragic past who she herself used to bully. Friendship doesn't come easily for these onetime enemies, and as Regina works hard to make amends for her past, she realizes Michael
could be more than just a friend... if threats from the Fearsome Foursome don't break them both first.

Tensions grow and the abuse worsens as the final days of senior year march toward an explosive
conclusion in this dark new tale from the author of Cracked Up To Be.

I’ve been wanting to read Some Girls Are for ages, so what luck I thought when I was rummaging through my local bookstores shevles and found it tucked right down the bottom, so I quickly grabbed myself the one and only copy, I've already read it and it was intense. The review has been written already so I'll post it real soon.

Twice Bitten by Chloe Neill
(NAL Trade/July 6, 2010)

Merit, Chicago’s newest vampire, is learning how to play well with others. Other supernaturals, that is. Shapeshifters from across the country are convening in the Windy City, and as a gesture of peace, Master Vampire Ethan Sullivan has offered their leader a very special bodyguard: Merit. Merit is supposed to protect the Alpha, Gabriel Keene—and to spy for the vamps while she’s at it. Oh, and luckily Ethan’s offering some steamy, one-on-one combat training sessions to help her prepare for the mission.

Merit must accept the assignment, even though she knows that she’ll probably regret it. And she’s not wrong. Someone is gunning for Gabriel Keene, and Merit soon finds herself in the line of fire. She’ll need all the help she can get to track down the would-be assassin, but everywhere she turns, there are rising tensions between supernaturals—not least between her and a certain green-eyed, centuries old master vampire.

I pre-ordered this book once I finished reading Friday Night Bites I needed to read more of this addictive series. I got this in the mail on Tuesday and had it finished by Wednesday loved it, my favourite of the series so far, I’ll be posting the review soon.

So that’s what I got in my mailbox, as I’ve already read them both I’m going to have to rummage through my pile of other books I bought a couple of weeks ago that are sitting on my bedside table just waiting for me to read.
